Rafting Seasons a month away

White water rafting should be starting in a few weeks. We’ll start with a few weekends of training and get everyone up to speed. Select some new guide trainees (something you would like to do?) and get out and practice some paddling and river running.

Looking outside today it’s hard to believe that we will be paddling so soon. With this late season blizzard, this very wet and heavy snow is a good thing. Both for here on the prairies as well as in the mountains.

The snow is really appreciated now rather than in June.

Happy Earth Day

“Rivers are like the veins of the earth and we need to work to keep them healthy and unclogged.” A quote that says it all.

At Otter Rafting Adventures on every trip we have, we always try to leave the area in better shape than what we found it in. I’ve been stressing it to staff for the 30 year life of the company. This is a beautiful planet and needs to be treated with care. Treat it with respect and do what you can to help.

The Season’s bookings have started

Some good weather has finally arrived and here at Otter Rafting Adventures the phone is ringing with people booking ahead for their day on the river. Planning a big day out, a group have booked all seats on one day in July. So it’s not too early to start planning ahead. There are only so many Saturdays in our summer months and they always book first.

But don’t ignore the other half of the weekend. Sundays we always rush the trip for those wanting to get home early and get organized for a busy week at work. We have some promotions planned for Sunday this year. And don’t forget, Father’s Day is coming. A perfect opportunity to get out with dad for some FUN quality time - one of those days you will look back on and wish you could have again. We do offer midweek trips too, These are run at a slower pace and offer a more personal experience. You're likely to not see another raft out on the river.

Whatever time works out best for you, we can offer you a great day. One of the high lights of your summer.
