That's a good video. As the raft fills with water it becomes more stable and the rocking motion slows down. It's like the raft is now an obstacle, making the wave form ( or shape-this is physics at play) break down, and the river has to flow around it and eventually pushes the obstacle out of the way. Is it OK to call paddlers obstacles?
Hmmmm - having observed paddlers for 30 years now - I think we can!
